Delhi University Implements Multiple Rounds for BTech Admissions, First List on Aug 2

Delhi University has announced its plan to conduct a minimum of three allocation-cum-admission rounds for BTech programs during the upcoming academic year. The initial seat allocation list is scheduled to be released on August 2, with the possibility of additional rounds depending on the availability of vacant seats.

Earlier this month, the university initiated the registration process for admissions to its BTech programs for the academic session 2023-24. Originally set to conclude on July 25 at 11.59 pm, the registration deadline has been extended until July 26.

The university is offering three Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programs in cutting-edge technology fields: Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical Engineering, all falling under the Faculty of Technology.

As per the schedule, the first list of candidates will be declared on August 2. Unreserved, OBC, and EWS candidates named in the list have been instructed to report to the Faculty of Technology for physical verification between August 3 and August 8. Meanwhile, SC and ST candidates are to report for verification on August 7 and August 8.

PwBD, CW, KM, Orphan, and Single Girl child students will have their physical verification on August 9.

The second list will be published on August 21, giving candidates who missed the initial registration a chance to apply and upgrade their seat preferences on August 21 and 22.

The third list is scheduled for release on August 23, with the deadline for online fee submission set for August 27.

Admission to these BTech programs will be based on the candidates’ Joint Entrance Examination (Mains) rank.

As part of the process, applicants will be required to pay a one-time non-refundable registration-cum-allocation fee. Candidates belonging to unreserved (UR), Other Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) will pay a fee of Rs 1,500, while those from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) will pay Rs 1,200 as the registration fee.
